will Neil Patrick Harris replace Hugh Jackman as OSCAR host?

And the host of the 2010 Academy Awards is...

Well we don't know for certain! We do know that 2009's Oscar host, Hugh Jackman, will NOT be coming back for a second year in a row. Jackman, best known for his role as Wolverine in the X-Men franchise, and currently starring on Broadway in A Steady Raid, quietly turned down the gig within the last few weeks.

Jackman was highly praised for his Oscar hosting stint this February under producer Laurence Mark and exec producer Bill Condon. But don't cross him off future lists just yet. He may take on hosting duties again, he simply didn't want to do the show two years in a row.

So who could fill Jackman's singing and dancing shoes? Or further more, possibly out do him? Well WAMG offers a tip from their "very good inside source," that points the finger at none other than Neil Patrick Harris! The How I Met Your Mother star recently hosted this year's Emmy Awards. Harris' turn boosted the telecast's ratings, and received much praise off stage, and even several times on stage from presenters and Emmy winners.

I love the choice if it turns out to be true. But does Harris want to be the go-to-guy for awards? We'll see. Let us know what you think of him possibly hosting in the ran-back section below.

The 82nd annual Academy Awards will be held on March 7th, with Bill Mechanic and Adam Shankman producing.
