Zack Snyder is currently in the process of developing his next feature called, Guardians of Ga'holle, which is going to be a CGI animated film. This is a big-budget animated film that is currently in production in Sydney Australia. The full cast for the film has been announced and it's a pretty good one.
Sam Neill, Geoffrey Rush, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess and David Wenham(300) will topline the voice cast. It will also feature the voices of Emily Barclay(Prime Mover), Abbie Cornish(Stop-Loss), Emilie de Ravin(LOST), Ryan Kwanten(True Blood), Jay Laga'aia(Revenge of the Sith), Miriam Margolyes, and Helen Mirren.
The story follows a young owl named Soren who is kidnapped by owls of St. Aggie's, ostensibly an orphanage, where owlets are brainwashed into becoming soldiers. He and his new friends escape to the island of Ga'Hoole, to assist its noble, wise owls who fight the army being created by the wicked rulers of St. Aggie's.
The film is an adaptation of the bestselling kids series by author Kathryn Lasky and illustrator Richard Cowdry. There are 14 books in the series, this first film is based on the first three.
I wonder if there will be any of Snyder's signature slow-motion action sequences.
