REPO MEN Poster and Red-Band Trailer

Here's the Red-Band trailer and poster for Universal's futuristic action-thriller Repo Men, the feature debut from director Miguel Sapochnik. 

Repo Men is set in the near future where advancements in technology have given humans extended and improved lives through highly sophisticated and expensive mechanical organs created by a company called The Union. The dark side of these medical breakthroughs is that if you don’t pay your bill, The Union sends its highly skilled repo men to take back its property... with no concern for your comfort or survival. 

Starring as two of the Repo Men are Jude Law as Remy, one of the best organ repo men in the business, and Forest Whitaker as his partner Jake. Liev Shreiber stars as their boss. 

They reveal in the trailer that Remy suffers a cardiac failure on the job, he awakens to find himself fitted with the company’s top-of-the-line heart-replacement…as well as a hefty debt.  But a side effect of the procedure is that his heart’s no longer in the job.  When he can’t make the payments, The Union sends its toughest enforcer, Remy’s former partner Jake to track him down.

The film's visual likeness to the flop Surrogates and its time spent on the shelf (never a good sign) don't bode well for the film. The name may also cause some backlash (or relief) as it is completely unrelated to the 1984 Alex Cox classic Repo Man. This is also not to be confused with Repo the Genetic Opera, which has a similar set up.

The trailer is full of blood and has some brief nudity, so needless to say it's NSFW. The set designs look pretty good and the cast looks in top shape. With Jude Law's return in Sherlock Holmes likely to redeem his public image for his non on-screen behavior... I hope this film can keep some kind of streak going. The guy is a good actor, just sayin'.
