I’m getting pretty pumped up about seeing Ghostbusters 3 finally making its way to the big screen. It’s been talked about and discussed for so long, the script is being written and everything seems to be falling in all the right places. I knew the film would eventually happen, but I didn’t think we would see it hit until sometime in 2012. According to Egon himself Harold Ramis, who is also helping write the script, we may see it sooner.
In a recent interview with Heeb.com, Ramis said that it should end up getting a 2011 screen date. Here is what he had to say regarding the film.
We’ll introduce some new young Ghostbusters, and all the old guys will be in it, too. Think Christopher Lloyd in Back to the Future ... GB3 is progressing with plans to shoot next summer and release in 2011.
So all the old original cast members will be in it and it will shoot next summer! This is some great news! And as I sit here and think about Christopher Lloyd in Back to the Future like Ramis said, I can’t help but like what my imagination sees for Ghostbusters 3.
Are you still excited for Ghostbusters 3?
