Paul Rudd is in high demand these days, he must be loving his career right now. He and Owen Wilson are currently in talks right now to join up with Resse Witherspoon in a untitled romantic comedy being developed by James L. Brooks over at Columbia Pictures. Variety reports:

Brooks, who is directing and producing, wrote the screenplay, which involves a love triangle. Rudd would play a white-collar executive vying for Witherspoon's affections, while Wilson would portray a professional baseball pitcher who is also a love interest.

As is customary with Brooks' projects, logline is being kept vague for the film, which has the working title "How Do You Know?"

We really don't have much to go on, but what will make this romantic comedy different and better than what has been being spewed into theaters recently? Because of James L. Brooks. The guy is incredibly talented and has been involved with some wonderful projects. He is one of the guys responsible for the success of 'The Simpson's' which made a great HD comeback last Sunday. He also had a big hand in the classic TV series 'Taxi'.  He has also developed several movies which include 'As Good As it Gets', 'Jerry Maguire', 'Broadcast news', 'Terms of Endearment', 'Bottle Rocket', and 'The War of the Roses'.
