Drew Barrymore could end up Directing the 3rd Twilight Film

The Twilight franchise has been in the news a lot recently. The logo for the sequel 'New Moon' has been released recently, which will be in theaters Nov. 20 this year:



And the third Twilight film 'Eclipse' has been given the release date of June 30, 2009. Now today Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Summit Entertainment is currently looking for a director for the 'Eclipse' film. One of the people they are looking at to direct this movie is Drew Barrymore. She actually just finished directing her first film 'Whip It!' which stars Ellen Page. I don't have any type of emotional attachment to this franchise so I could care less who directs it, but Drew Barrymore sounds like she would be a great choice. She seems like she would fit into that little world.

I talked to a couple girls who are Twilight fans about this news and they say as long as she is a fan and has a respect for the books and characters then she should do great, and that it can't be any worse then the first one.
