The A-Team was one of my favorite shows growing up, and as you may or may not know a movie for this classic TV show is being developed. At least it is trying to be developed it has been being developed for a long time now. John Singleton who was set to direct the film walked off the project recently because apparently they just couldn't get it together. Joe Carnahan has recently taken his place and the script is still being worked on. I am sure it will eventually happen, but who knows how it will end up. Both Ice Cube and Tyrese Gibson have been rumored to play B.A. Baracus and they have both talked about getting the role so who knows whats really going on with that.
Today actor Chris Pine who play Captain Kirk in the new Star Trek movie has thrown his name in the hat to play a character from the show. Pine recently talked to MTV and he says he would love to be in the movie. Personally If he is in it I would guess he would play Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck. But he says:
"No, Murdock is my man. Love Murdock"
He says he wants to make the character into a howling mad man along the same lines as his role in 'Smokin' Aces', which I am not too sure about. I don't even know what howling mad means! When I think of howling mad I think of a 1960's mental institute in the middle of the night.
Joe Carnahan also directed Chis Pine in 'Smokin Aces' and Pine thinks he is...
"...the perfect person to bring that to life... We’ve talked about something happening. I don’t think the script is quite done yet or something. But who knows?”
I think it is safe to say that since these two guys have already worked together on one movie they will work together again on another one, and The A-Team Movie will most likely be it. What do you think? Do you think Pine is right for the character of Murdock? Do you like the whole howling mad thing?
