Robert Rodriguez Confirms PREDATOR Reboot

by Joey Paur

We reported a rumor earlier this year that Robert Rodriguez was going to reboot the Predator franchise. Now it looks like this rumor has been confirmed as being true by Rodriguez himself. Now before you start throwing food at your computer screen in contempt of this reboot. The Predator is a character creature that could use a decent movie. I love the original film! But I didn't really care for the 'Aliens Vs. Predator' flicks I thought they were just a waste of some great creatures to work with. In my opinion 'Predator' could use a good movie since I haven't seen one since the original. Part 2 was OK. There are several stories to tell about these aliens so I don't see this as a remake at all.

Robert Rodriguez announced at a press conference today in Texas that revolved around the reform of the Texas film incentive program that...

"I'm going to be able to shoot my upcoming Machete here, a sci-fi action film called Nervewrackers, a re-boot of the Predator series called Predators, and a couple of smaller movies called Sin City 2 and The Jetsons."

The movie will be called 'Predators' so I assume it will involve more than one Predator. The movie will unfortunately be done at 20th Century FOX  and this was the original rumored pitch for the film:

“a team of commandos face down a mysterious race of vicious monsters.”

So there's that. He also confirmed 'Sin City 2' and 'The Jetsons'. Oh, I hope that he doesn't make a Jetsons movie that looks like all his other bad looking kid films.

So hit me with it, what do you think about a Predator reboot?
