Man, it been such a long time since Shia LaBeouf has been in a movie. I was beginning to wonder what happened to him and his career. He did take on some pretty bad roles in the past which may be the reason no one wants to work with him anymore. It looks like he is making a comeback with a new film he is in negotiations to star in. There is a very good chance that he will jump on board to star in a sequel to the 1987 hit 'Wall Street' directed by Oliver Stone and Michael Douglas who won an Oscar for his role in the movie.

Both Michael Douglas will come back to star, and Oliver Stone has signed on to direct the sequel for 20th Century Fox even though when the sequel first started being talked about he dropped out and said he didn't want to do another Wll Street movie. Here is what he said in an earlier interview regarding that.

“We investigated [a sequel] a while ago, but we couldn’t come up with the right way to go about it. I think there’s an interesting movie to be made in there. I’m just not interested because it’s so complex now. I don’t think people can understand security derivatives. But these types of people [on Wall Street] — essentially it’s the same mentality.”

But, it looks like he has changes his mind because he is back.  The story line for 'Wall Street 2' is being kept under wraps, but it will pick up with corporate raider Gordon Gekko in the modern day as he takes another young employee under his wing to teach his the ways of the Wall Street. The young employee will most likely be played by LaBeouf.

With the way the economy is right now and what happened with Wall Street recently it should make for an interesting story. But man it will be great to see Shia LaBeouf in a movie again.
