A new writer has come on board to to write a new draft of the H-Man movie being made called 'Greyskull'. And when I say new I mean new. The guy's name is Evan Daughterty and he has only written on un-produced screenplay called 'Shrapnel'. It's interesting to see how things just work out and all the cards fall in the right place. He wrote the script in hopes earn a NYU film school grant which he didn't get. He ended up entering a little screenwriting contest called Script Pimp and from that he got himself a manager that got him his 'Greyskull' writing gig for Warner Bros. and Silver Pictures. THR Reports:

John Stevenson ("Kung Fu Panda") is attached to direct the adaptation of the show, which followed a blond warrior named Prince Adam who, when uttering the magic words, "By the power of Grayskull -- I have the power," turned into the heroic He-Man. He and his allies -- Battle Cat, Man-at-Arms and Orko -- defended their planet Eternia from the evil forces of Skeletor, who tried week after week to conquer the fortress Castle Grayskull, which imbued He-Man with his powers.

Warner Bros. sees this big-screen version of the film as a gritty fantasy that reimagines Adam as a soldier who sets off to find his destiny, happening upon the magical world of Eternia. There, Skeletor has raised a technological army and is bent on eradicating magic.

Justin Marks wrote the original draft which I heard great things about. It was described as “Lord of the Rings meets The Matrix meets Batman Begins.” And that the fans would pretty much love the hell out of it. Not sure why WB decided to have it re-written if it was so good unless it was going to be a very expensive movie to make. I just don't want to see another half-assed attempt at another He-Man movie. They better do it right. What are your thoughts on this new He-Man Movie?
