So I finally found the time to sit down a watch the Battlestar Galactica TV show prequel ‘Caprica'. I knew going into the movie that it was going to be more of a family drama type show than anything else. But I was still excited to see this Battlestar world come to life again! I've been having withdraws since my favorite show on TV ended. I thought as long as the story, writing and acting was good then we would be good to go.

That being said ‘Caprica' was awesome! I thought everything about it was just as good as the Battlestar Galactica series. I know it doesn't have all the sweet ass space battles, but the drama, writing, story, acting and intensity was all there. It was way better than what I expected it to be. The movie hooks you from the very beginning and it holds your attention through the whole movie.

The Twelve Colonies are at peace, 58 years before Battlestar Galactica. When an act of religious fanaticism brings together Joseph Adama, a lawyer with ties to the underworld, and a wealthy technologist by the name of Daniel Graystone, both of whom lose their daughters in a terrible explosion. Daniel is grief-stricken by the loss of his daughter and fueled by obsession sets out to bring her back because he is has become obsessed and using his considerable wealth and a sprawling technology corporation. Offered the chance of his own daughter being restored, Adama wrestles with this idea until he comes face to face with its reality. This all leads to the creating of the Cylon, which as we all know starts some very big problems.

I can't wait to see where the creative people behind Caprica take the story. I am really excited for it and I am completely sold that Caprica is going to end up being just as good a sci-fi series as Battlestar Galactic.

If you have seen the show let me know what you thought of it! I am interested to hear your thoughts on it.
