Take a Tour of the U.S.S. Enterprise using STAR TREK Augmented Reality

Now this is pretty damn cool if you ask me. The new 'Star Trek' movie directed by J.J. Abrams is using augmented reality as a way to promote the movie. Experience The Enterprise was created by Paramount Pictures International and is described as “a groundbreaking augmented reality (AR) application placing a 3D interactive version of the Starship Enterprise in the palm of your hand.”

All you need is a printer or iPhone, and a webcam. After you follow the set up instructions at Experience The Enterprise Starfleet takes you on a five minute 'cadet holo simulation' tour of the U.S.S. Enterprise. This tour includes you being able to test out the weapons systems, impulse engines and warp drive.
