I actually stood in line for about an hour to play a video game. I never thought I would find myself in a situation like that, but I just had to get my hands on the new 'Halo 3: ODST' video game! Was it worth the wait to play a multi-player death match? You bet your sweet ass it was!

It's no secret that I am a huge fan of the Halo video games and the the story that it follows. I didn't get a chance to play the campaign but I am more of a multi player video game guy anyway. I find playing with real people to be more challenging and entertaining. Playing this game was a blast!

The graphics seemed to be slightly better than Halo 3. They just seemed a little more clean, slick, and smooth. Maybe it was just the whole experience of playing on a new Halo map. Whatever the case, the game looked great. The gameplay is like any other Halo game. Not much is different, other than the fact that you are not playing as a Spartan. I also noticed that the guns now recoil. That means when you shoot, the gun pulls up and doesn't shoot straight, like it normally does in a Halo game. It was a big deal to me, but the guy playing next to me had a big problem with it! He said it threw him off his "game", which is why he didn't do so well. But! The pistol in the game is much more powerful than it has ever been. You can take out the villains pretty quick with it.

As for me, I had the second most kills in our group! Which is cool considering I was at a video game convention with people that play video games all day long, every day. So I patted myself on the back and went on to the next game.

The game follows the story of the legendary ODSTs or Orbital Drop Shock Troopers as they drop into the ruined city of New Mombasa, looking for clues behind the Covenant's catastrophic attack on the city.

Known for their courage, valor and at times, insanity, Orbital Drop Shock Troopers are among the fiercest UNSC soldiers, priding themselves on being the first unit deployed into hostile situations. While not as large or supernaturally gifted as their Spartan comrades, these Hell Jumpers more than compensate with their ferocious attitudes and unwavering nerve.

All the traditional features of the Halo 3 multiplayer mode will be included in the new game, including full-featured integration with the Forge map editor.

'Halo 3: ODST' is going to be a big hit with all the Halo fans out there. If you own Halo 3, then you will most likely buy this one to add to the collection. I honestly don't see why you wouldn't.

Here is a gameplay Demo below. This is not the demo I played but it will give you a good idea of what I am talking about.
