The first teaser trailer for Chris Columbus' Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief, has been released today by 20th Century Fox. The movie is about a young boy who discovers he's the descendant of a Greek god and sets out on an adventure to settle an on-going battle between the gods. The film is based on the book by Rick Riordan.

This movie has also brought together a great cast, which includes, Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman, Sean Bean, Kevin McKidd, Melina Kanakaredes, Logan Lerman, Brandon T. Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, Catherine Keener, Rosario Dawson and Steve Coogan.

The film opens up February 12, 2010.

This has the potential to be a really good film, the trailer doesn't give you much, it's just a teaser, but it is still enough to get you curiously excited to see how they went about bring the book to the big screen.
