Willem Dafoe Cast in JOHN CARTER OF MARS

Disney's fantasy epic, John Carter of Mars, just gotta hell of a lot more interesting because Willem Dafoe just joined the cast! Taylor Kitsch (Gambit), and Lynn Collins (Silver Fox), have already been cast as the leads in the film.

Dafoe has been brought in to play Tars Tarkas, a fierce green Martian warrior, who's unusual among his savage race for his ability to love. Tars develops an alliance with John Carter in the first film, which is based on A Princess of Mars. This isn't the first time Dafoe has been green, and I'm sure it won't be the last. The character he plays fights along side Carter throughout the whole series, so chances are he's signed up for the sequels as well.

Wall-E director Andrew Stanton, co-wrote and will direct the live-action film. I'm really excited about this one, and I hope it turns out great. I can't wait to see what Dafoe will look like.
