ALICE IN WONDERLAND Panel, Trailer Review, and Tim's Imaginary Friend

alice-wonderland-new_l1

At Tim Burton's first ever comic-con appearance we got to experience some of the first clips and information from Alice In Wonderland. We were treated to some new concept art and production stills of  the amazing vision that Tim Burton has in mind. Very little was actually reveled or explained as Tim Burton is actually still filming the footage.

We were however treated to the first ever trailer... not once but 3 times. First of all it is vintage Tim Burton but much more on an epic scale. The set and character designs look exactly like the concept art the have been previously released. He used amazing camera and visual effects as well as a healthy dose of CG to create the imaginative and amazing world. the true breath of fresh air is that Tim Burton stays true to his creative process. There was no unneeded uses of computer effects and eerie and dark vision mixed with fantasy storybook elemts flowed brilliantly together.

I cannot wait to see the full movie. I have been a huge Tim Burton fan for as long as I can remember and he never dissapoints, except maybe for that ape movie but hey everyone tends to have one.

For all your fangirls out there Tim did have one more surprise for us. He brought out his longtime friend and cohort in crime...you guessed it...Johnny Depp. I will let you finish your screaming.... done? ok. Johnny Depp showed for a brief few seconds on stage and the crowd went crazy.

Alice In Wonderland looks as amazing as we all hope. Are you looking forward to it?

I seriously can't wait for this - I love Tim Burton's films (with the exception of Mars Attacks and Planet of the Apes) and I think any film where Burton, Depp & Bonham Cater team up just have an extra bit of magic to them and this looks to follow suit
