TRAINING DAY reenactment with Common and McLovin'

by Eli Reyes

We have another great Cinemash reenactment to  bring you today. Much like the role reversal Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt did in their reenactment of Sid And Nancy, this set up  finds Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Superbad/Kick-Ass) and Common (Terminator:Salvation/Smokin Aces) switching scripts for a reenactment of 2001's Training Day.

The original starred Ethan Hawke as rookie cop Jake Hoyt on his first day on the job, and featured Denzel Washington's Academy-Award winning performance as L.A.P.D detective Alonzo Harris, a veteran narcotics officer whose methods of enforcing the law are questionable, if not corrupt.

In this reenactment, Common portrays Hoyt,on his inaugural day in the LAPD, who gets picked up and spun out by the evil Harris (Mintz-Plasse).

I actually really like the chemistry between these two. It makes for a hilarious dynamic. Maybe Common and Mintz-Plasse can do a true buddy movie.

Check it out, and let us know what you think!
