UNDERWORLD 3D will kick off new trilogy

A few days ago we reported that a fourth Underworld film was in the works and that it would be in the magical and ever growing popular format of 3D. Now we are here to tell you that it will be the first part in a new trilogy for the world's greatest Death Dealer.
Screen Gems is very interested in bringing Selene back for an all new trilogy. Rumors circling the internet is that plans are definitely a go for a part 4, which will probably have some name instead of a number. I have been a huge fan of the series, especially of the first film. I thought it was a very cool and refreshing take on the vampire and werewolf mythos. The look and aesthetic sold me from the very first time I saw a cryptic poster for Kate Beckinsale standing on a rooftop with no idea what the movie was about. I very much liked the second installment as well, although I am still a bit confused by the ending. But the prequel I thought could have been done a bit better.
No word yet has been given if Kate Beckinsale or any of the other supporting cast will return. I just hope they somehow bring Sophia Myles back. There is also no word if creators Len Wiseman, Danny Mcbride, or Kevin Grevioux will have any involvement. I hope they do. I know Len Wiseman has been busy with various projects, including a Gears Of War movie, but it would be cool if they could get him back to direct. We'll fill you in as we learn more.

well sophia myles did play one of the only allies that selene had in the first two, so depending on how the the political lanscape changed among the vampires and lycans, she could easily come back. it would be nice if she was kicking a little butt also too, and not just for one of these new movies. she was great in Outlander.
