HANCOCK 2 is Moving Forward

You may be asking yourself why Columbia Pictures is making a sequel to that awful film Hancock. Well, The first film made $624 million dollars worldwide last year, and they want to make a few more bucks off of the franchise. I can guarantee the sequel wont make as much as the first film, because I think people know better now after seeing the first one.

Adam Firerri and Glen Mazzara have been brought in to write the script for the film. These two guys have made a career by writing and producing TV shows like, Dexter, 24, and The Shield.  The original producing team is expected to return. The writers will work with both Will Smith and director Perter Berg who will return for the sequel.

No major plot details are being released but it will obviously build on the world that was hinted at in the first movie, meaning they will go more into the mythology of the characters.

The original starred Smith as a boozy, irresponsible superhero who undergoes an image makeover by a public relations man. It later is revealed that the hero is part of a line of immortal beings who have been around for more than 3,000 years and begin to lose their powers when in proximity to fellow immortals.

Did you know it took 12 years to get the first movie onto the big screen? Was it worth it? For the studio it was because they made an ass load of money, for me and a bunch of other people it was a waste.
