New ASTRO BOY Movie Poster
A new movie poster for the CGI IMAGI animated film, Astro Boy, has been released today over at cinematical , and I gotta say it looks pretty fun. If you haven't been keeping tabs on Astro Boy, the movie is based on classic Japanese manga series and TV program which was broadcast from 1963 to 1966. The story follows the adventures of a fictional robot named Astro Boy and a selection of other characters along the way.
The film has a great cast of voices which include Freddie Highmore, Samuel L. Jackson, Charlize Theron, Kristen Bell, Donald Sutherland, Bill Nighy, Eugene Levy, Nathan Lane, and Nicolas Cage.
The animation looks great in the film, but I'm not sure how the story of the film will all play out yet. That's the big test. Regardless, I don't see the movie being a big hit. It seems like one of those films that most people wont be interested in seeing. What do you all think? Are you excited for it? Do you think there is a big enough following to get people in theater seats?
