Disney Announces The Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made!
Finally a new Muppet's movie is going to make its way to the big screen! It's been quite a long time. According to comingsoon.net who is covering the D23 Expo event today, the Muppets took the stage, and performed a live song and dance number. After the performance Disney Studios Chairman Dick Cook officially announced that the upcoming Muppet film will be titled The Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made.
The Muppet film they are referring to is the same Muppet film that Jason Segal wrote the script for that we have heard about. He also wrote and stared in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Before today we heard the name of the script was The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever Made. The title of this new film is in reference to an unproduced movie idea by Jim Henson in 1985 that featured Gonzo directing a Hollywood film and quickly blowing the project's budget. I'm not sure if this is what the movie will be about though because Segal described his story as the Muppets banding together to save the Muppet Theater from an evil oil tycoon. What does an oil tycoon want with a theater? Because is sits on top of some oil.
"There's a whole ocean of oil under out feet! And nobody can get at it except for me." Name that movie.
