Reordered INCEPTION trailer gives clearer Perspective of Events

There have only been two trailers released for writer/director Christopher Nolan's high-concept thriller Inception. The first and second teasers have opened up twice as many questions for every "answer" they give. How exciting is that?!!! Now here are the two trailers re- cut together by jerome g. villarin, who puts corresponding footage together to give you a clearer understanding of the events depicted in the trailer.

The visuals are intriguing and eye-poppingly rich. The plot has been closely guarded, other than that it is a thriller set in the architecture of the mind. So anything that can somewhat shed light on what we've been given is worth examining and

Inception stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a CEO-type involved in a blackmailing scandal. Marion Cotillard (La Vie en rose, Public Enemies) plays his wife, Ellen Page (Juno) is a young college grad student and DiCaprio’s sidekick, Joseph Gordon-Levitt (500 Days of Summer/G.I Joe) plays an associate working for DiCaprio. Ken Watanabe (Batman Begins/Letters To Iwo Jima) will play the man blackmailing Leonardo DiCaprio’s character. Tom Hardy (Bronson/Star Trek: Nemesis) is a member of DiCaprio’s team, with Lukas Hass (Brick/Entourage) Cillian Murphy (Batman Begins/ Sunshine) and Michael Caine rounding out the beyond stellar cast.

When the footage is reordered it sure does show off the acrobatic madness Nolan has put JGL through. Good thing he's got the skills, which he demonstrated in his back flipping SNL monologue, and the Marc Webb short film/music video for Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward's (She and Him) "Why Do You Let Me Stay Here."

Here's the Trailers reordered:

I offered up my theories on the first trailer back in August. But the new trailer has revealed a whole lot more.

So here are some of my theories:

-I believe that there is a time limit to how long they can investigate the memories inside of someone's mind.

-Here's where the top comes in. The mind is balanced, much like the gyroscopic effect of an upright top in motion. At first, they can explore the mind freely, with the world exhibiting it's normal laws of gravity and orientation.

-But after being in the mind for too long, their very presence throws the mind off balance. Like a top losing it's momentum, the world that exists in the mind begins to literally topple over. Or think of it as a ceiling fan. If the blades are of equal size and weight, the fan will spin balanced. But if you add more weight to just one of the blades, the fan will spin normally at first, then wobble and shake violently. The people investigating are like the added weight to the mind.

You can read my entire breakdown of the first trailer here.

Do you have any theories on INCEPTION?
