New SUPERMAN will be 35 to 40 Years Old?

According to The Social Network co-star Armie Hammer Warner Bros., Christopher Nolan and Zack Snyder are looking to cast an actor 35 to 40 years of age to take on the role of Superman. This is kind of surprising because of how much we've been hearing about this movie being kind of a origin story. I don't have a problem with the age at all as long as the story they tell is good.

Here's what Vulture reported:

You've made a lot of people's Superman fantasy-casting lists. Did you have your people put in a call to Zack Snyder, who's directing the reboot?

[Laughs.] You know what's funny? I did talk to my people recently about that for the first time, and I think they're going a little older with Superman. I hear they're going 35, 40.

You know what this means don't you? It means that Jon Hamm is the perfect candidate. If this is really the age they are looking for, then they would be crazy not to cast him! I'm not sure how solid this really is because Snyder recently revealed that Brandon Roth was once again in the running to take on the role as well, which would also be cool.

What are your thoughts on a 35 to 40 year old Man of Steal?
