Here is the first movie poster for Russell Brand's new comedy HOP, a CGI / live-action hybrid film being directed by Tim Hill who developed the incredibly awful films Garfield 2 & Alvin and the Chipmunks. Brand is voicing the character of the CGI rabbit character you see in the poster above.

The movie is being produced by the studio that developed Despicable Me. Hop follows the story of "Fred (James Marsden), an out-of-work slacker who accidentally injures the Easter Bunny (Russell Brand) and must take him in as he recovers. As Fred struggles with the world’s worst houseguest, both will learn what it takes to finally grow up."

I love the film's cast, but it all comes down to story and direction which doesn't spark a lot of confidence. I'm sure the kiddies will enjoy it either way.

Hop will hit theaters on April 1st, 2011.
