Chris Zylka to play Flash Thompson in SPIDER-MAN Reboot

Movie Casting by Joey Paur

It looks like Marc Webb may have found his Flash Thompson in the upcoming Spider-Man 3D reboot. The confirmation of this casting comes from actor Chris Zylka himself, in a response to a tweet that a friend sent him. Zylka was tweeted the following,

Hi. :) Tommy said you got a role in Spiderman 4? Congrats!:) Came from our small town and made it big life!:D

Zylka's response?....

Thank you.

I assume that if Zylka didn't get the part he would have said something like, "What the hell are you talking about? I didn't get the part because I suck." According to a CBM source, Zylka will be taking on the role of Flash Thompson, but that has yet to be confirmed. Zylka been in films and TV shows such as Hannah Montana, Everybody Hates Chris, Cougar Town, and 10 Things I Hate About You (TV series).

If he is cast in the film, he'll join Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Spider-Man, Rhys Ifans will play theLizard, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben, Sally Field might take on the role of Aunt May, and Denis Leary will play the father of Gwen Stacy, played by Emma Stone.

Here's some more information on Flash Thompson also known as Eugene Thompson:

Handsome and naturally athletic, young Eugene Thompson seemed to have a bright future ahead of him, but hidden darkness in his family set the stage for what became a life of wasted potential. His father, popular policeman Harrison Thompson, had a secret drinking problem, and it was all the Thompson family could do to hold him together at times. Alternating between anger and despair, the self-loathing Harrison took out his frustrations on his family, often treating Eugene abusively. Eugene, in turn, became a neighborhood bully, taking out his own frustrations on weaker and less popular children. One of his earliest and longest-running targets was Peter Parker, a bookish boy who later became the masked adventurer Spider-Man.
