Director Abel Berry has the really cool and much talked about movie 'Kodie' premiering on November 13th at 7 pm at the historic and legendary Texas Theater which is the home to the Blood Bath 2 Film Festival. Sit back and check out my latest "Versus" with the very cool Abel Berry as we talk all things Kodie and what's up next for the up and coming indie horror talent.

Brian S- First off Abel, how'd you get into film making?
Abel Berry- Well, I've always loved film. When I was little, my friends thought i was weird because I would seek out behind the scenes specials, and try to learn about how FX were done in movies. But it wasn't until I was in my early twenties that i found a book that showed
how to make a film for a few thousand dollars. I was like "oh shit.. I can actually do this."
Fast forward a few years, and I'm covered in red velvet cake mix, surrounded by body parts, and helping
a chick get into a teddy bear costume.. all on a set that we had built. Crazy.
Brian S- If you had one choice, which would you rather do act, direct, write or produce?
Abel Berry- I love acting. But if I had to choose it would definitely be Directing. I feel like I'm happiest when I'm
behind a camera, creating something from nothing.
Brian S- Are you a Nascar fan? I don't know where that cam from man, just had to ask!
Abel Berry- Sure. We're currently talking with Mark Martin about replacing his VIAGRA sponsor with KODIE.
it's in the works.

Brian S- Ok, tell our readers about Kodie.
Abel Berry- Here’s the basic set-up: A wanna be team of ghost hunters goes to a town plagued by mysterious murders. Legend has it
that a witch has placed a curse on the town, and unleashed a demonic girl dressed as a teddy bear.
Its actually not as strange as it sounds... well, maybe it is.
Kodie was heavily influenced by the films I grew up watching. Thanks to my aunt, as a little kid I was given a healthy dose of unconventional 80's horror. Films like 'the unnamable' and 'evil dead' took the place of Disney flicks that other little kids watched.
But my favorite films were always horrific yet fun. So that’s what I wanted to do with Kodie. It's brutal and gory as fuck, but you can have a great time watching it.

Brian S- Kodie will make it's premiere soon too, right?
Abel Berry- That’s right! Kodie will be splattering blood all over the big screen on Nov. 13th at the Blood Bath 2 Film Festival!
It's pretty much a super big deal.
So if your in the area, you definitely don't wanna miss this.
Brian S- What are the plans for Kodie after Blood Bath 2?
Abel Berry- Global domination.
First Blood Bath..... then the world.
There will be more festival screenings in the near future, and a DVD release scheduled for 2011.
And lets not forget witcheryandfur.com.
Trust me bro, lots of good shit on the way.

Brian S- Well, i must admit I'm stoked to see it myself!
Abel Berry- Thanks. I'm stoked as hell to show it! The GeekTyrant screeer will ship out soon.
Brian S- Do you have any other projects planned?
Abel Berry- Actually yes, we have something big we've been sitting on for awhile. And the Kodie audience will be the first
to see the teaser for this top secret project. Another reason to attend!!!
Brian S- Would you like to say anything to the awesome horror fans checking this out?
Abel Berry- Yes. Fellow horror fans.. the evil teddy bear has come to satisfy your blood lust!
Kodie is brutal, fun, and bloody as fuck. So when the time comes WATCH IT!!
Thanks,
-Abel Berry
