Duncan Jones Secures Jeffrey Wright for SOURCE CODE

Duncan Jones' debut feature film Moon was one of the most highly-praised films of last year. This praise is absolutely warranted, especially Sam Rockwell's fantastic performance and Jones' confident directing.

We alreadyknow that the cast for Jones' new film, Source Code, features Jake Gyllenhaal, Vera Farmiga, and Michelle Monaghan. Now Jeffrey Wright (Felix from the Daniel Craig Bond films, Ali) has joined, adding another high-quality name to the already-talented people surrounding this film. Wright has always played an enjoyable side character in everything I've seen him in, and now he'll step into the sci-fi world for Source Code. From Duncan Jones' Twitter feed earlier today:

Just met with the lovely Vera Farmiga and Jeffrey Wright. Feeling quite thrilled to have two such scorchingly good actors in Source Code!

Here's a refresher on the plot synopsis:

Source Code centers on a soldier who wakes up in the body of an unknown commuter and is forced to live and relive a harrowing train bombing until he can determine who is responsible for it.

CinemaBlend has read an early draft of the script, and due to process of elimination, they suggest Wright will take a supporting role. We know Gyllenhaal plays the lead role, Monaghan plays his romantic interest on the train, and Farmiga plays a communications officer guiding Gyllenhaal through time and space.

I just saw Moon for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and I'm really excited to see what Jones can come up with next. Sound off in the comments section - are you excited about Source Code?
