Last week, comic book writer Geoff Johns was named Chief Creative Officer over at DC Entertainment, so there's no doubt that he's going to have a hand in helping shape every DC/WB movie from here on out. He recently was in New Orleans visiting the set of the upcoming film Green Lantern, and according to his tweets things are looking good.

Back from an amazing trip to Green Lantern town a.k.a. New Orleans!! Ryan IS Hal. And Mark Strong is going to be a brilliant Sinestro.

Kilowog, the Guardians, Oa...all breathtaking. The age of Green Lantern is upon us!!

I think we're all pretty excited to see what they come up with for this movie. The concept art for the movie is looking good, it will be nice to see it brought to the big screen.

The Green Lantern is being directed by Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) and stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard and Tim Robbins. Warner Bros. Pictures will release the film June 17, 2011.
