KICK-ASS 2 is Going to be Much Darker new - Villain gets Crazy Name

Matthew Vaughn's Kick-Ass premiered at South By South West this last week, and it seems like everyone that's seen it has absolutely loved it. I knew this movie was going to be good, and unlike anything we've ever seen before. If the movie ends up doing well at the box-office you can bet your ass we're gonna see a sequel. Both Vaughn and Kick-Ass-creator Mark Millar have been discussing a sequel since the first film went into production, and now there's a bit more information on the sequel that I thought you all might want to know about.

According to John Romita Jr. the artist of the comic they are actually going to show us some stuff from the upcoming sequel at San Diego Comic-Con. This confirms that they are going to get started on the sequel soon, at least in comic book form for sure, which is good to hear because the comic book is completely awesome. We know that Vaughn and Millar have a lot of ideas in their heads, but Christopher Mintz-Plasse gives us a little taste of the direction they are going to take it.

I met up with Mark actually a few months ago and we had a couple drinks and he told me it was going to be great, and he wants it to be very, very dark is what he's thinking.

Aaron Johnson adds,

If you could get any more dark than 'Kick-Ass' is right now, then Mark had even darker ideas. Matthew went with absolutely everything but there were some things that were impossible to film. No one's going to see it because it's too disgusting.

Kick-Ass is already an incredibly dark story full of disturbing characters and events. It's crazy! And I have no idea what they will do to make it darker. Millar then gives a little info on the Villain he's creating for the sequel.

Red Mist becomes the Joker to [Kick-Ass], you know? But we're talking about another villain as well, so he'll almost be a sidekick to this other guy. My working [name is] somewhere between the motherfucker and the cunts. That's the two names I'm thinking of. I mean, it's better than the Joker, isn't it?

Those are some pretty crazy names for a villain! But it fits the world of Kick-Ass so well. Those are a couple of the most vile villainous names I've ever heard. So there's the latest update on Kick-Ass 2, straight from the people who are going to work on it.

What do you think of what these guys all had to say about the sequel to Kick-Ass?
