First Trailer for Sylvain Chomet's Beautifully Animated THE ILLUSIONIST

TrailerMovie Animated by Joey Paur

The first trailer for Sylvain Chomet's film The Illusionist was released today, and the animation in it looks absolutely beautiful. This is a Russian trailer, but it doesn't really matter because there is no dialogue spoken in it, just a nice musical score with some amazing looking visuals that give you a good idea what this movie is about.

The film is based upon a script by Jacque Tati, and according to the official synopsis this is the “story of a dying breed of stage entertainer whose thunder is being stolen by emerging rock stars. Forced to accept increasingly obscure assignments in fringe theaters, garden parties and bars, he meets a young fan who changes his life forever”.

Chomet directed another great animated film called The Triplets of Belleville. This is an extremely talented artist that puts a lot of heart, detail, and imagination into his craft. Check out the trailer for The Illusionist below and let us know what ya think!
