Hogwarts was Destroyed due to a Fire on the set of HARRY POTTER

While filming a climatic scene on the London set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on Friday night a fire erupted burning down Hogwarts.

If you haven't read the books yet, and you don't want to know about the scene they were filming when the fire broke out then don't read ahead, because it reveals a few details from the stories climatic battle sequence. 

The fire broke out while the cast and crew were in the middle of filming The Battle of Hogwarts sequence which involves Harry Potter and a vast army of Hogwarts students defending the school from that bastard Lord Voldemort. Obviously they were using a good amount of pyrotechnics and explosions because the mocked-up castle made of timber, steel and plastic caught on fire.

A source from the set of the film told Coventry Telegraph,

We were shooting the scenes where Hogwarts gets blown up during the battle. But fire managed to catch hold of the set and it went up in flames. It was completely out of control at one point.

Six fire engines ended up showing up and it took 40 minute to bring the flames under control, so obviously the set they were working on was totally destroyed. There were around 100 crew members and some cast members but no one was hurt. 

Production will move forward as planned and this incident won't delay the film's release.
