I don't know who got fired, or if someone needs to get fired over at Paramount's art department, but this new Domestic poster and the International poster released last week for Marvel's Iron Man 2 are about as lazy and uninspired as you can get.
I know director Jon Favreau has plenty in store for us in the actual film, and the stellar cast which includes Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Garry Shandling, John Slattery, Kate Mara, Clark Gregg and Olivia Munn won't disappoint either. But with the May 7th release of the film coming ever closer, you'd think they'd have something up their sleeve to give us in the home stretch. They're using scraps to create these "new" posters. The War Machine image they use is simply a mirror of this poster released earlier this month. C'mon!!!!!!
Well, if you're looking for more recycled schwag, you can visit the International FanKit they just launched, which includes a Profile Pic Creator and a countdown Widget, with the rest of the features coming soon.
Check out the poster below and sound off in the rant back section below.
The world is aware that billionaire inventor Tony Stark is the armored Super Hero Iron Man. Under pressure from the government, the press and the public to share his technology with the military, Tony is unwilling to divulge the secrets behind the Iron Man armor because he fears the information will slip into the wrong hands. With Pepper Potts, and James "Rhodey" Rhodes at his side, Tony forges new alliances and confronts powerful new forces.
