Original TRON Trailer Gets a Modern Day Upgrade
Here's an amazing fan made video that is a completely redone trailer for the original 1982 Tron. Now as much as I love the first film, and am completely tweaking for the sequel, I have to admit I'd rather explain the original or show the trailer or test footage of Tron Legacy than show the original trailer to those not in the know. Trailers in that day were really bizarre, they thankfully didn't give as much of the story away like they do now, but the timing and narration just didn't seem to really capture what those films were about.
YouTube user DrewboiX has put together a fantastically paced trailer for Tron, that has given the CGI effects a bright face lift, put in modern title cards and a musical score, but more importantly... it makes Tron look way more freaking EPIC!!!! In fact, the pacing is so good and exciting in this new trailer trailer, that the pacing of the actual film might be a let down for those who haven't already seen it.
If you're looking for a way to sell your friends or significant others on watching Tron and/or Tron Legacy, I think this modern-style trailer is the way to go!
