Are you ready to see the Bible in 3D?

Now that 3D is the norm in Hollywood and all the big event tentpole films are getting a 3D makeover, why not make a 3D film of biblical proportions! With the success of both Avatar and Alice in Wonderland which made a but load of cash this week, 3D films are a proven formula for success, and the studios are going to start making more and more, so just get used to it. Whether the film is shot in 3D or converted the genral audience really doesn't care. 3D is a huge selling point now and it's not going away.

So now the Bible is going to be the latest film to get a 3D makeover. The family friendly production company Walden Media (The Chronicles of Narnia) has teamed up with Paramount Pictures for a film project called... wait for it... In the Beginning, which tells the story of Adam and Eve. I really hope people show up to the theaters dressed in fig leaves.

So get ready for the creation leading up to the first sin ever committed, partaking of the forbidden fruit. This film is going to be incredibly intense! If Mel Gibson has any thing to say about it, the film would be shot in the original language of the Gods, whatever that is.

The film will be given a budget of $30 million dollars, but don't forget that District 9 was shot on that same budget so this film could be completely awesome if Adam and Eve got in an epic battle with Cherubim and a flaming sword, which is a race of aliens that tried to take over the earth before Adam and Eve populated the earth. This will be the story of the first alien invasion!

Okay, so that's probably not what's going to happen. The film will be be greenlit after the studio execs see some test footage. TV director David Cunningham is directing the film from a script written by John Fusco (Hidalgo, The Babe).

The film will start out with either James Earl Jones or Hugo Weaving Narrating... "In the beginning..." you know the rest.
