Disney's THE SORCERER'S APPRENTICE Teaser Poster

PosterMovie by Joey Paur

Disney has released the first teaser poster for the up coming Jon Turteltaub directed film The Sorcerer's Apprentice. The movie being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer comes out on July 16th and stars  Nicolas Cage, Jay Baruchel, Alfred Molina, Teresa Palmer, Monica Bellucci and Toby Kebbell.

This movie looks like it will be a very silly and Nicholas Cage is sporting one of the worst hairdo's of his career, but there's no doubt it will be big action packed-popcorn flick. If you go into the film knowing what to expect it should be enjoyable, but if what you expect just a bad movie, then I'm sure you wont even bother to see it. Check out the trailer in case you missed it.

Synopsis:

In the film, Balthazar Blake (Cage) is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Molina). Balthazar can't do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (Baruchel), a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protégé. The sorcerer gives his unwilling accomplice a crash course in the art and science of magic, and together, these unlikely partners work to stop the forces of darkness. It'll take all the courage Dave can muster to survive his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes "The Sorcerer's Apprentice."

So here's the first poster of the film, and I gotta say I kind of like it. Yesterday I did a little rant how movie posters these day all slapped together photoshop jobs that look awful. At least this poster shows that the illustrator put some thought into the poster design and actually wanted it to look good. What do you think?
