According to Jay Baruchel JAY & SETH VS. THE APOCALYPSE is Still Happening

 

Jay & Seth Vs. The Apocalypse is a film that’s been being discussed for years, and it’s at the point now where I didn’t think it would ever happen, but according to Jay Baruchel the movie is coming... eventually.

The film will star Baruchel and Seth Rogan, who starred in the classic short film made a few years ago. The script is be written by Rogan and Evan Goldberg. Here is what Baruchel had to say.

It's a good problem to have, when [co-star Rogen] and I are too busy to find the time. It's high on the triage list. It's something that'll get done very soon.

They're in the process of writing it right now. My prediction would be sometime in the next year and a half it'll at least get going... He and I are too busy. And Evan, [Rogen's] writing partner, he and I wrote something called 'The Goon,' a hockey movie which we're trying to get going at some point this year. So there's just a lot happening.

So everyone that needs to be involved with the project is too busy to do anything with it right now. I understand, but I still don’t think it will go anywhere within the next two years. In fact, this movie will never happen as long as these guys stay busy. From the look of it they have a lot of stuff going on, and I’m sure more projects will pile on top of what they already have. So unless they stop taking these projects to focus on developing the film, I don’t see it happening at all. 

If the movie does get made here is a little something we can expect to see.

It'll be what you see in the trailer and then some. It's going to be a pretty offensive vision of the apocalypse and I want a lot of dead celebrity cameos. Because L.A. is full of famous people, I'd like all of the cameos to be them as corpses.
