Are you watching PAWN STARS? You should be.

Last Fall I wrote an article about the 10 best new shows on television. Among them was the History channel's Pawn Stars. This show is very entertaining, and you need to start watching it if you aren't already doing so.

A man and his son own a pawn shop in Las Vegas, which they have run for at least two decades. I have seen every episode, and I don't know what the old man's name is. He is referred to as The Old Man. His son, Rick, gets by far the most air time. He handles most of the on-air deals and makes the major decisions concerning the day-to-day operations. Rick's son is Corey, who is constantly at odds with his father over what his responsibilities and abilities are. Corey, like most young people, thinks he knows everything. Rick, on the other hand, believes he is the only one in the business that knows everything. It makes for some entertaining fireworks. I love just about everything Pawn Stars does. I am fascinated about the products people bring into the shop. Rick brings in experts to explain the history behind anything he doesn't know. There are also a number of items that are restored before they are re-sold. Plus, it's a very educational show, with drama built in for more enjoyment. Finally, there's Chumlee. I'm not going to explain Chumlee in this article. You'll just have to check him out for yourself.

The History Channel has been running Pawn Stars on Monday nights, but recently I have noticed it on Sunday nights. Please check your listings to see when it comes on and add it to your DVR line-up. It's the perfect chow to watch before bed, or on lazy evenings on the couch.
