NAPOLEON DYNAMITE The Animated Series is being Developed

According to MediaBistro 20th Century Fox is currently developing an animated TV series based on the 2004 Fox Searchlight indie film hit Napoleon Dynamite. If you are a fan of the original film then you will be happy to know that most of the actors from the original movie are going to return to reprise their roles in the animated series. Jon Heder will lend his voice to the main character Napoleon Dynamite, Efran Ramirez as Pedro, Aaron Ruell as Kip Dynamite and Jon Gries as Uncle Rico. Of course the creator of these characters Jared Hess and his wife Jerusha are also working on developing the animated project. 

I think Napoleon Dynamite will make for a great animated series! The movie was like a live-action cartoon anyway. It should work great for animation with it's colorful and weird characters. If it has the same witty and funny writing it should end up being a great little animated series.
