Trailer for WWII Drama SHANGHAI with Cusack, Yun-Fat, Morgan, and Watanabe

Here is the first trailer for the Weinstein Companies delayed WWII drama from director Mikael Håfström, Shanghai. The film was completed way back in 2008, and for some reason the Weisntein's buried it, taking it off of their release schedule last fall. The Weinstein's are known for killing the success of many of their own films. It's like they don't know what to do with them, remember what happened to Fanboys?

The film is a A '40s period piece which revolves around an American expatriate who returns to Shanghai a few months before Pearl Harbor to investigate the mysterious death of his friend. The film has a great cast of actors that includes John Cusack, Chow Yun-fat, Gong Li, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Franka Potente, David Morse and Ken Watanabe.

The movie definitely looks interesting, it doesn't look a like a bad film, but who knows when or if it's going to get released. There is still no official release date for the U.S. Check out the trailer below and share your thoughts with us.
