1979 Commercial for Banned ALIEN Movie Toy

So here's an Alien movie toy we could've all had fun with while growing up... had it not been banned! Even though this toy is pretty freakin' awesome, it's strange to me that they would make a kids toy based on a sci-fi horror film that the kids couldn't even watch. I guess it doesn't matter though, because I would have wanted one.

Apparently when Kenner released the 18-inch-tall Alien figure in 1979, parents' groups were outraged, and the ultra cool Alien toy was pulled from the market. Of course the kids in the commercial below look like there having a blast with it.
