First International Trailer for LET ME IN

Here it is gang, our first look at Let Me In, the english-version remake of the of the fantastic Swedish vampire film Let The Right One In. The film was directed by Cloverfield director Matt Reeves and it stars Chloe Moretz (Kick-Ass) and Kodi Smit-McPhee (The Road). There's no reason this movie needed to be re-made. I guess the one positive thing that comes from it is the fact that it will bring more attention to Tomas Alfredson’s original.

The movie seems to have the same look and feel as the original movie, and it looks like the acting is going to be solid, after all, if has two fantastic young actors in the lead roles. The music used in the film is absolutely terrible though. To me Let Me In looks like it could end up being an exact replica of the original only it's in English. I'm sure we'll see a few little changes here and there once we start to see more of the film. I hope they keep subtle relationship elements of the two main characters from the original story in this remake.

Synopsis:

Let Me In, tells a terrifying tale about an alienated 12-year old boy named Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee) who is viciously bullied by his classmates and neglected by his divorcing parents. Achingly lonely, Owen spends his days plotting revenge on his middle school tormentors and his evenings spying on the other inhabitants of his apartment complex. His only friend is his new neighbor Abby (Chloe Moretz), an eerily self-possessed young girl who lives next door with her silent father (Oscar® nominee Richard Jenkins). A frail, troubled child about Owens’s age, Abby emerges from her heavily curtained apartment only at night and always barefoot, seemingly immune to the bitter winter elements. Recognizing a fellow outcast, Owen opens up to her and before long, the two have formed a unique bond.
