2001 MANIACS:FIELD OF SCREAMS Exclusive Interview: Christopher McDaniel Vs. Brian S

Tim Sullivan's 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams release is just around the corner and will arrive on DVD on July 20th via First Look Studios.  If you love comedy mixed in with your blood and guts this is your kind of movie! My "Road to the Maniacs" has kicked back up into high gear. This stop I get to ask Christopher McDaniel some questions about the film and his character Rufus.

Brian  S- Hey Chris, first off how did you get involved with 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams?

Christopher-  I was actually originally cast as Rufus in the first Maniacs but had to back out due to scheduling conflicts. When revving up for Field of screams, Tim remembered me and gave me a call. I was extremely happy to finally be playing Rufus.

Brian  S- Tell me a little about your character?

Christopher- Rufus is the son of Mayor Buckman (Bill Moseley) and always looking to impress "Daddy". On the other hand he is a Momma's boy to Granny Boone (Lin Shaye) and just adores her. Although not too bright nor familiar with the ways of the world, Rufus just tries to blend in. If that is possible. Rufus is always in competition with Harper and Lester. A little confused in love but willing to take on interesting roles to hunt his prey.

Brian  S- Do you get to do any cool kills?

Christopher- Rufus has one of the coolest kills in the movie. It's called Brokeback Falcon. So I don't spoil the movie I have to leave it there.

Brian  S- What's your best memory/fun experience in making this cool movie? 

Christopher- My funniest memory making the movie has to be Lester (Adam Robitel) when he and Jezzie have their moment. It is just as funny every time I see it now. Lester tops it off by rolling his eyes in the back of his head during. Just Great!!

Brian  S- Sum up this movie in one word! 

Christopher- Twisted!!

Brian  S- Would you like to say anything to all the "Maniacs" out there checking this out?
