2010-07-21T14:01:46-0700 When not making excuses to do anything and everything else, Bobby Nash writes. A multitasker, Bobby's certain that he does not suffer from ADD, but instead... ooh, shiny. When he finally manages to put fingers to the keyboard, Bobby writes novels, comic books, short prose, graphic novels, and even a little pulp fiction just for good measure. And despite what his brother says, he is not addicted to DVDs and can quit anytime he wants to.
Check out my cool interview below to see what Bobby Nash is up to and what he has planned next!

Brian S- Tell me about your work you have out right now.
Bobby Nash- I’ve had a couple books come out in 2010. Fantastix is a graphic novel I wrote for FYI Comics that was illustrated by Daniele Serra. I also have a short prose story in A Fistful Of Legends, a western anthology published by Express Westerns. Both books are still available.
I’m currently promoting the Yin Yang graphic novel that I wrote, with art by Luis Nunez that is coming out from Arcana Comics in September. It is in the July issue of Previews and its Order Code is JUL10 0759. Please, pass this along to your local comic book shop. For those that don’t want to wait until September, Yin Yang is currently available for digital download over at Wowio.
Several of my other books are still available from your favorite bookseller. My novel, Evil Ways, short story anthologies Lance Star: Sky Ranger Volumes 1 and 2, Full Throttle Space Tales Vol. 2: Space Sirens, Sentinels: Alternate Visions, Domino Lady: Sex As A Weapon, and the comic book series Fuzzy Bunnies From Hell.

Brian S- What cool projects are you working on, can you tell me?
Bobby Nash- I’ve always got several projects in progress. Sometimes more than I think I’ll ever finish.
Here are the ones I think I can mention. I’m putting together a collection of science fiction stories I’ve written over the years for a collection called Frontier that I plan to release this year. I’ve also contributed to a few books that will be out sometime soon-ish. They include Yin Yang, The Green Hornet Chronicles, Secret Agent X, Ravenwood: Stepson of Mystery, Aym Geronimo and the post Modern Pioneers: Tall Tales, Tales From The Zero Hour: Weird Tales, a Lance Star: Sky Ranger novel called "Cold Snap" and a Lance Star: Sky Ranger comic book, "One Shot" with artist James Burns. As soon as I know street dates I’ll spread the word.

Bobby Nash- Write. The most important thing a writer can do is write. I know it’s cliche, but it’s also true. Practice makes perfect. I have picked up some incredible writing tricks and skills along the way that I only learned by doing.

Bobby Nash- This could be a long list. I read quite a bit, comics, novels, and short stories. Some of my favorite writers are (in no particular order) Darwyn Cooke, Chuck Dixon, Beau Smith, Jonathon Hickman, Gail Simone, Jimmy Palmiotti, Sean Taylor, Ed Brubaker, John Byrne, Mike Mignola, Mike Grell, Van Allen Plexico, Peter David, Michael Connelly, Beverly Connor, Alex Kava, Stephen J. Cannell, Kyle Mills, Howard Hopkins, Nancy Holder, Steve Alten, and Christoper Golden. I could probably name a dozen more.

Bobby Nash- I do like to set up at conventions. And I do like to peddle my books. HA! HA! Conventions are awesome! I’ve been very lucky that so many great shows have invited me as a guest this year. I can’t say enough good things about the shows I’ve done this year. I have just the best time at cons. I love meeting new people.
Sadly, my convention schedule is pretty slight for the remainder of the year. Hopefully, that will change and I can add a few more appearances, but as of right now only two remain scheduled for 2010.
I’ll be at the Charlotte Comicon on August 1 in Charlotte, NC. where I’ll be set up with my books.

I will also be at Dragon Con on September 3 - 6 in Atlanta, GA. [http://www.dragoncon.org]. I will not have a table at Dragon Con, but will be doing panels most of the weekend. I will have books on hand, however. Come by and see me between panels. I may be doing signing times as well, but I’ll have to get back to you on that.

Bobby Nash- Thank you. Seriously, without the people who support my work I couldn’t continue doing this job that I love. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate it.
