BUFFY Season 8 Is Becoming A Motion-Comic Series And Also A DVD Will Be On The Way

Buffy The Vampire Slayer season 8 comics pick right up where the TV series left off in 2003 with season 7.  Not only that but Joss Whedon himself has written the first two comics along with recruiting the big-name talents of Brian K. Vaughn, Drew Goddard, Jeph Loeb, Jane Espenson, Doug Petrie, and Steven S. DeKnight to help out with the series. Not to shabby huh? Season 8 has Buffy and her newly recruited slayers battling an unknown new enemy.

Courtesy of Dark Horse and Fox you can purchase the first two episodes of the motion-comic adapted from the first two issues written by Whedon for only $1.99 each or $29.99 for a season pass on iTunes.  You will also be able to purchase the first 10 episodes on DVD on January 11, 2011 which features a limited edition Jo Chen packaging and a collectible reprint of the first issue.

Here's the trailer that debuted at Comic-Con thanks to Dark Horse.
