Shia LaBeouf and Director John Hillcoat looking to develop TRIPLE NINE
Director John Hillcoat is currently looking at possibly directing a crime drama called Triple Nine with Shia LaBeouf.
The spec script comes from Matt Cooke, which follows a story that concerns a group of crooked cops planning a major heist who realize they must shoot one of their own in order to get away with it. The lead character is an upstanding young officer who they choose as their victim. 999 is the police code indicating that an officer needs immediate assistance.
Neither Hillcoat or Labeouf are officially attached to the project yet, but they are currently in discussions.
I'm a big fan of cop movies, I don't know what it is, but I just enjoy watching them. It doesn't matter if they're good or bad I just can't help it. So no matter how this movie turns out I am definitely going to watch it. If Hillcoat attaches himself to it as the director we can expect to see a pretty great cop flick, he's just such a talented director.
