Hugh Jackman Drops out of Avon Man to Focus on WOLVERINE 2

Hugh Jackman has decided to drop out of lead role in the Fox comedy Avon Man so that he can focus on preparing for his role as Logan in Wolverine 2. He will spend the late fall getting in killer shape for the fan favorite character.

I hated X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but I love the concept for the sequel, which will follow the Frank Miller vision of Wolverine that takes the character to Japan to find Mariko and gets involved in a battle with the Japanese underworld. The script is being written by Christopher MQuarrie (Valkyrie, The Usual Suspects) and there is no director attached to direct the movie yet, but it looks like Fox is looking to get the film into production next year.

I really hope they make a better Wolverine film this time around. I'll keep my expectations low since the last two X-Men films have sucked ass.
