Michael J. Fox to have a role in the New TEEN WOLF TV Series?

TV MTVMichael J. Fox by Joey Paur

In a world where 1980's TV shows are are being adapted into movies is strange to see a 1980's movie being adapted into a TV show, but that's exactly what MTV is doing with Teen Wolf. Now according to Moviehole the network is trying to get Michael J. Fox on board with the project! Apparently they want him to have a recurring role in the new series. If this turns out to be true, then all of a sudden I'm forced to have to watch this show that I have no desire to see. Why? Because it's Michael J. Fox, the original teen wolf!

The pilot episode was directed by Russell Mulcahy (Razorback, Highlander, Resident Evil: Extinction) MTV's take on the story is said to be a darker, more "Buffy"-esque take on the 1985 film. The series stars Tyler Posey as the shy wannabe-jock Scott and Dylan O'Brien as the overeager Stiles. They find out that the body of a young girl has been found in the woods, and the two set out to go check it out.  Scott ends up separated from Stiles, and while trying to find his way is attacked by a wolf. The next day, the Scott begins his journey in life a a werewolf.

So they changed the whole mythology of the Teen Wolf as well. If you remember in the movie, Scott becomes a werewolf during puberty. The writer of the new series recently did an interview with E! Online in which he says the following,

It's a teen horror show. It's going to be scary, funny and hopefully sexy.

Director Russell Mulcahy (Highlander) adds:

We told our makeup artist that we don't want so much a furr. We want a werewolf you could kiss. Ours don't turn into dogs.

Davis comes back with,

We usually say the others have werewolves you can pet—we have ones you can kiss.

Ok, maybe I won't be watching the series even if Michael J. Fox is involved, this just sounds ridiculous. What do you all think of the Teen Wolf series and Fox's possible involvement?
