As you know there were a lot of arguments and discussions over the end of Christopher Nolan's Inception. Was Leonardo DiCaprio's character in a dream state or is what he was seeing real? We never saw the top topple over, so it was pretty much left up to our imagination... or was it? For those of you that want to know the absolute truth of the ending, Michael Caine revealed it in a recent interview with BBC.
Here is what he told them was the true meaning of the final scene of the film.
It drops at the end, that's when I come back on. If I'm there it's real, becuase I'm never in the dream. I'm the guy who invented the dream.
So there ya have it folks! You can all rest easier now knowing that Leonardo DiCaprio made it back to his kids for real!
So what do you think? Are you satisfied with his answer?
You can listen to the interview if you want over on BBC, he talks about it around the 1:46 mark.
