Directors Guild of America Nominations for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in 2010

Movie by Joey Paur

The Director's Guild of America has released their nominations for Outstanding Directorial Achievement for 2010. I'm completely happy and satisfied with the nominations they all deserve to be there, and I think this will be the same nomination list we see for Best Director and the Academy Awards this year.

From the Press Release:

"2011 marks the 75th anniversary of the DGA, making the celebration of this year's five nominees especially meaningful," said Hackford. "Their inspired films radiate the passion and unique vision of each of these filmmakers, who are about to become part of our Guild's rich history. My sincerest congratulations to all five nominees."

Here are the nominations:

Darren AronofskyBlack Swan
David FincherThe Social Network
Tom HooperThe King’s Speech
Christopher NolanInception
David O. RussellThe Fighter

The winner will be announced at the 63rd Annual DGA Awards Dinner on Saturday, January 29. I loved every film on this list, and thought each director did a fantastic job, but I think that Fincher is going to take it this year.

Who do you think will win, and who do you want to win?
