Arnold Schwarzenegger is ready to Get back into Acting WITH WINGS AS EAGLES

Now that Arnold Schwarzenegger is finished governing the state of California, he's looking to get back into making movies. In a recent interview with Krone.at, he reveals that he's looking at three scripts for possible films that he might star in. Here's a translation of the quote:

Currently I'm reading three scripts. One topic/script, which I considered a long time ago before governor, is delighting me particularly. In it I would play an older [German] soldier, who gets the order at the ending of the war to kill a bunch of kids. But he doesn't do it and get them to safety at the risk of his life and it has all kind of adventure. This script is based on a true story!

According to TheArnoldFans website, the movie that Schwarzenegger is describing is With Wings as Eagles, which was written by Randall Wallace (Braveheart, We Were Soldiers). Wallace is a fantastic writer, so I'm sure the script is solid. The site also has a synopsis for the film that you can read below:

During the Second World War, an American bomber pilot and his crew are shot down from the sky and captured by the Germans. As orders are sent to execute the pilot and 9,000 other POW, the German officer in charge, Schwarzenegger, refuses to carry them out.

I'm actually excited to see Schwarzenegger get back into making movies, and this new project sounds like it will make for a great movie. Schwarzenegger is getting older, and he's not going to be able to make action movies forever. He has to adapt his roles to his age. He's realized this and explains,

In the future I have to adapt my roles to my age. Clint Eastwood also has done it in the same way. Extreme fighting or shooting is not possible anymore. I want to be more encouraged as an actor, and I believe that I can manage this challenge. I am like a sponge, which is absorbing all the knowledge and always be willing to learn all new things.

This new film With Wings as Eagles could do just that for him. It could put him on the path to becoming a completely different actor than the one we grew up watching.  What do you all think about the actor's return to movies?
